Starting from 26 September 2015 is compulsory to appear the label with the indication of energy performance on some products and systems related to hot water production.
The Ecodesign directive related to the eco-design requirements together with the labelling directive, related to the harmonization of information to end users, have been developed with the scope of reduce about 20% of UE energy consumption within 2020. This is the so-called “climate and energy package 20-2020” developed in order to reduce of 20% CO2 emissions, to increase of 20% the use of energy derived from renewable energy sources and to reduce of 20% the energy consumption thanks to a better energy efficiency.
Products SICC connected to hot water are not Energy using Products but they fall under the scope of the application since they are Energy related Products, i.e. they can contribute to energy –saving thanks to their use.
For this reason all SICC products up to capacity lt.2000 addressed to the production or use of sanitary or heating hot water must comply with the minimum requirements of energy performance. Furthermore vessels with capacity up to 500 lt will be supplied with energy label with the indication of efficiency class and energy performance (for higher capacities labelling is not compulsory)
Performaces will be quoted in the technical data sheet of the product in order to help the end user to identify the best model to include as part of system more or less complicated: the final calculation of the efficiency of system made by different components could be better that the efficiency class of single elements.
The information indicated in the energy label of our products are the following
If the product has to be exhibited, the dealer has to pay attention how it will be positioned so that the label can be visible. SICC products manufactured before 26 September 2015 now on stock, both internal or at other distribution agencies, are not subjected to Ecodesing and Labelling directives. For this reason these products can be sold without the above mentioned documentation.
